Tea Spot has launched a line of 100% sustainable, compostable packaging to help reduce environmental waste. This new version of the brand’s best-selling tea is now available at Whole Foods, Central Markets and the company’s website.

Certified Organic, Non-GMO, and Certified Kosher Tea Spot teas are now packaged in new compostable packaging thanks to a $10,000 grant from Boulder County for Pollution Reduction Initiatives. The grant promotes rigorous research into suitable compostable materials to expand The Tea Spot’s sustainability efforts in individually packaged tea bags in the food service industry. The packaging and tea bags are made from sustainable plant-based materials that are 100% biodegradable and commercially compostable.
“In line with our mission to help people achieve health through tea, we are always looking for innovative ways to positively impact the environment and serve our community of tea drinkers through ideas, products and now packaging,” said Maria Uspenskaya, The Tea Spot . Founder and CEO.
